‘One Big Thank You’ for Springhill Hospice star Cora!

If you tuned into the One Show on the 30th October, you may have seen the familiar face of Springhill Hospice’s beloved volunteer and former Nursing Assistant Cora Maregerison-Williams.

Cora was recognised for the 35 years worth of support that she has given Springhill Hospice with the One Show’s ‘One Big Thank You’.

Cora was surprised with the award from beloved television presenter Gloria Hunniford and Springhill Hospice is absolutely thrilled that Cora got the recognition she deserved.

Sophie Anderson, Fundraising Manager said:

“Cora deserves a one big thank you because of who she is as a person, once you’ve met her, you’ll never forget about her.

“Her real passion started because her mum didn’t have Hospice care, so Cora knew she that she had to be a part of making Springhill happen.”

Samantha Wells, Chief Executive of Springhill Hospice said:

“Cora has been involved since day one, so she volunteered for the first 10 years, she then got a job here on the ward.

“She’s cycled across continents for us, if there’s anything she can do, she’ll do it.”

Springhill Hospice is immensely thankful to the One Show for this recognition for Cora and the Hospice.
