Record-Breaking Reindeer Run for Springhill Hospice
Springhill Hospice is celebrating a record-breaking success following its annual Reindeer Run community fundraiser, which has raised an incredible £71,039.06, including Gift Aid.
The much-loved festive event brought together hundreds of supporters from across the community – including 50 local schools and nurseries – all donning reindeer antlers to run, walk, and jog in support of local hospice care. This year’s total marks the highest amount ever raised by the Reindeer Run, highlighting the generosity, enthusiasm, and dedication of participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters.
Funds raised will go directly towards providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care for patients and their loved ones across the borough, ensuring that Springhill Hospice can continue delivering compassionate, high-quality services free of charge. And these funds are more important than ever; Springhill Hospice continues to provide free palliative care despite the difficulty of their current financial position, and couldn’t survive without the money raised by their loyal community.
Jenna, Community Fundraiser at Springhill Hospice, said:
“It’s truly incredible to see the generosity of our schools and nurseries. Watching them come together for this event, and seeing it grow year on year, has been so inspiring. Thank you to each and every person who donated, supported, and took part. Your kindness and commitment mean the world to us. The funds raised will make such a meaningful difference to Springhill Hospice, helping us continue to provide compassionate care and support to those who need it most. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved together, and I can’t wait to see this wonderful event grow even more in the years to come.”
Springhill Hospice extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone involved and looks forward to welcoming even more reindeer to the starting line next year!
