Training that transforms care, because every moment counts

What does Springhill Education do?

Springhill Education offers a variety of courses aimed at those who work in health and social care settings, specialising in palliative and end of life care.

We nurture a culture of care that is compassionate, we recognise the individual needs of each person and their loved ones, and we believe in being open and transparent. Our courses help develop kindness as well as the skills and confidence to care for those with palliative care needs.

Some of our courses are available free of charge to health professionals working in the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale area and are chargeable to those outside the borough. Springhill’s Education Team is committed to making the sessions interesting and useful, by encouraging group discussions, practical tasks, and reflection.

Springhill Hospice’s Education Team understands that learners have different levels of ability and learning styles. We make every effort to assist attendees to enjoy and expand their knowledge and skills whilst attending our sessions. The programmes have been designed to incorporate a variety of ways in which students can access the information they need to complete their learning. If additional support or guidance is required, our team are happy to be contacted.

No, some of our courses are also made available to our own non-nursing staff and volunteers to allow them to better perform in their roles.
