BACP
Our Counselling Service is available to adults who are experiencing psychological and emotional distress in their lives as a result of their own life-limiting illness or the illness of a loved one
How does Counselling help?
- The diagnosis of a life-limiting illness can be difficult for both patients and loved ones
- Treatments and symptoms of a condition can impact mental health as well as physical health
- People often don’t want to burden loved ones further by talking about worries. Talking to a Springhill Counsellor can give a neutral outlet for those concerns
How does Springhill Counselling work?
- We have a team of trained and highly skilled counsellors, supported by qualified volunteer counsellors and trainee counsellors. Through speaking to the individual, they will tailor-make a therapy plan for that person
- Counselling could include Person-Centred Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) techniques
- We offer face to face counselling at the Hospice
- We also offer telephone and video conference counselling
- Home visits are available if appropriate
- We also offer one-on-one outdoor sessions in or outside of the Hospice grounds
What other help can you offer?
We have a bank of downloadable content for
