I am Jenny, the staff nurse in the wellbeing team. I love the variety of my role and the fact I see patients from all different walks of life with similar symptoms.
Bringing people together in a group who may have had different life experiences or outlooks and finding out they have got a lot in common. Patients support each other and it’s nice to be able to facilitate that for them. People think the Hospice is somewhere where you come to for end of life and actually, many people come here for symptom management.
We help people live well for as long as they can.
There is such a variety of nursing in palliative care and as nurses we work within many different locations in the borough to support them in their journey.
