Funding secured for Citizens Advice Support

We are delighted to announce that we have secured funding from Action Together to provide a dedicated Citizens Advice advisor, offering personalised support to patients and their loved ones, one day per week for 6 month for the ‘Springhill Hospice Poverty Prevention Project’.

This dedicated service will provide vital assistance to address complex issues such as benefits, housing, completion of forms and financial concerns. By delivering timely and tailored advice, the initiative aims to reduce stress and anxiety for patients and their families navigating challenging circumstances. The introduction of this service will also help to prevent crisis situations by ensuring individuals have access to practical support when they need it most.

The service will be available to patients with a palliative life-limiting condition on Tuesdays 9.30-3.30. This is part of the Hospice’s ongoing commitment to providing holistic care that addresses not just medical needs, but the broader challenges faced by our community.
