Summary of the role:
To undertake and assist with duties in the Laundry to ensure the provision of clean linen to all Hospice Departments

Responsibilities and duties:

•    Sorting and categorising of soiled and clean linen in preparation for washing and finishing.
•    Loading and unloading of washing machines and dryers ensuring that all work processed is given the correct amount of time.
•    Distribution of clean linen to the relevant departments, replenishing stocks as required.
•    Operation of all laundry equipment provided by the Hospice.
•    Ensure cleanliness of all equipment. 
•    Ensure general cleanliness of the laundry room.
•    Ensure that safe working practices are maintained at all times and that duties are performed in accordance with Health & Safety, COSHH and other relevant statutory requirements.
•    Read, understand and comply with all Hospice policies and procedures, applying the principles appropriate to the role.
•    To be aware of individual specific responsibilities in respect of the safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, in relation to the role.
