Summary of the role:

Assist facilities staff in providing a well maintained and presentable environment by way of painting and decorating rooms as required.

This role would not have set hours, with a flexible ‘as required’ approach and focus on fitting in with the existing maintenance team requirements

This is an ideal role for someone with proven experience who may be looking to keep busy in retirement or semi-retirement, allowing them to keep using existing skills, stay in touch with a friendly group of people and support a worthwhile local charity that is passionate about supporting others. 
 

Responsibilities and duties:

•    To prepare walls and woodwork for painting, including filling holes/imperfections and sanding.
•    Cover areas and furniture to avoid paint contamination using tape and/or suitable dust sheets.
•    Prime first and then apply finishing colour to agreed areas whilst maintaining a safe and clean environment.
•    Clean all tools and apparatus after use.
•    Safely store all items used.
