My name is Beverley, and I am the Community Liaison Officer at Springhill Hospice. Before this role, I worked as a Specialist Palliative Care Nurse, and I still love what I do so much that I haven’t retired yet.

What makes Springhill so special is the time we can give to patients and their loved ones. In many healthcare settings, time is limited. Here, we can really listen, support and care for people in the way they deserve.

Many people think a hospice is simply a place where people come to die, but that’s not the reality. Some patients come to us for symptom management and support before returning home. While many people do spend their final days here, our focus is on helping them live as fully as possible, for as long as possible.

Springhill is filled with laughter. We help people achieve their wishes, create precious memories with loved ones and make the most of every day.

I’ve always loved being a nurse, but I especially love being part of the Springhill family. The staff are wonderful, and it’s a privilege to support our patients and those closest to them. As a charity, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue providing this care. By sponsoring a nurse, you’ll be helping local people receive expert help when they need it most. You never know when someone you love may need us, and your support can help ensure we’re there when that time comes
