University of Greater Manchester – AdvDip(CPD) Multidisciplinary End of Life Care (HE7) 23.09.2026
Springhill Education, in partnership with UoGM, facilitate the End of Life module at our Education Unit. Our Team has extensive experience in end of life care and has been teaching this module for several years.
Aimed at existing nursing and health and social care professionals, this advanced professional development course explores best practice in end-of-life care. Focusing on the importance of multi-agency working, our experienced team aim to share the latest thinking around the support of individuals with progressive or chronic life-threatening conditions. This is a 15 week programme that requires the following to be enrolled:
- You are normally expected to have successfully completed an honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and have appropriate work experience.
- You must have completed at least one year of full-time work experience post-qualifying in an appropriate health or social care-related profession (e.g. nurse, allied health professional).
- You must also have appropriate current employment and access to a mentor (a colleague with relevant experience in end-of-life care).
We offer a systematic understanding and critical awareness of current problems and new insights in this field. We’ll support you in developing the theoretical knowledge and reflective abilities required so that you can deliver high-quality physical, social, spiritual and psychological care to those nearing the end of life and their families.
We’ll also focus on helping you develop a deeper understanding of the importance of inter-professional, multidisciplinary and multi-agency working, as this is crucial in delivering EoLC. Skills in this complex and sensitive area of contemporary health and social care are in increasing demand.
