Springhill Hospice Palliative Care Education Passport – 09/09/2026
The Springhill Palliative Care Education Passport (SPCEP) is an innovative programme providing a solid set of holistic knowledge and skills for all grades of staff. It comprises of 6 modules, each exploring different aspects of Palliative Care.
- Module 1- Recognising advancing disease and when someone is in the palliative phase, Advance Care Planning (ACP)
- Module 2- Communication ā Foundation skills for supporting people in distress
- Module 3- Psychological and spiritual needs for patients and families
- Module 4- Assessment and Care Planning for palliative needs
- Module 5- Recognising dying and care at the end of life
- Module 6- Care after death and supporting the bereaved
The Education Team are all committed to making the sessions interesting and useful. By using group discussions and reflections, learners are able to develop their knowledge and skills in a safe environment. We promote person-centred care by delivering learner-centred education.
PLEASE NOTE: When you are booking the Palliative Care Passport, you are booking all 6 modules at once. Please make sure you can attend the dates of each module. If you need an alternative date for any module, please contact the Team on education.springhill@nhs.net.
