Woman of Rochdale Nominations close soon!

Springhill Hospice are proud to announce that nominations for the 32nd Woman of Rochdale Award are now open!
Each year we host this wonderful celebratory event to highlight the achievements of some of our local heroes who so often spend their time shining light on others.
Last year’s winner was Lorenza Pye, brought the assembled audience to tears with her heart-warming, signed acceptance speech about how her own life was shaped by other empowering women and how her experiences with hearing-impaired young people lead her to starting her own language school, Eliza Says, to teach sign language.
The Woman of Rochdale Luncheon will return on Friday 25th April 2025 at Rochdale Golf Club. The event, proudly sponsored by PDS Doorsets will be where the winner is announced and attendees will enjoy a three-course dinner along with some fantastic entertainment.

Vicki Barnett, our Corporate and Partnerships Fundraiser, said “Last year we had so many amazing nominees. The committee certainly had their work cut out choosing their Woman of the Year. I have no doubt that this year will have equally worthy nominees, but only if the people of Rochdale getting nominating!”
