Veterans Awareness afternoon

On the 27th, we held our Veterans Awareness afternoon, which was organised to help better understand the needs of the Veterans in our community and how Springhill’s services can help them.

There was music from The Happy Hour, who are a British Legion Folk Group, and the signing of the Armed Forces Covenant by SGT Appleby, the representative of the Ministry of Defence and our CEO Sam.

There was a lovely spread of cakes and refreshments and the event had an excellent turnout, with members of the Rochdale and Middleton British Legion in attendance as well as other veterans in our borough.

There were even mini-massages provided by our Complementary Therapist Viv.

This is the first step towards seeking Veteran Awareness Accreditation.
