Springhill Hospice’s Men’s Shed Group to Launch in September

We are excited to share that our first Men’s Shed session starts on 11th September, every fortnight, from 1pm to 3pm.

This is a support group for Men at Springhill Hospice, for patients, relatives and carers.

This group is designed for people who are in a similar situation to spend time together and learn new skills.

This men’s support group is ran by our dedicated volunteers and overseen by our Wellbeing and Supportive Care Team.

Lyndsey Willetts, Wellbeing and Supportive Care Manager said:

“We are very excited for the launch of our Springhill Men’s Shed on 11th September.

“Headed by our brilliant volunteer Vic we aim to blend practical activity, social connection and emotional support for men living with a palliative life limiting condition and/or male carers of those with a life limiting condition.”

There is no pressure to talk. This is a safe space to immerse yourself in practical activities. Please wear suitable footwear. PPE will be provided.
