Springhill Hospice gratefully receives HSBC UK grant for refurbishment
Back in 2021, Springhill Hospice submitted an application for funding from the HSBC UK ‘Supporting Our Community’ programme, to have the opportunity to refresh some of the outdated communal areas. In October last year, they were delighted to receive the news that they had been successful in their appeal! This huge funding of £44,467.38 will go towards making areas of the Hospice modern, comfortable and a welcoming environment for patients and their loved ones.
Tracy Johnson from HSBC said, “Springhill Hospice is a very special place, where every adult in HMR with a life limiting condition is supported. The mission of the Hospice is to make every moment count, working collaboratively to provide the highest standards of physical, psychological and spiritual care to all patients and those who love them.
It was with great pleasure that HSBC UK was able to deliver £44,467.38 to the Hospice from our Supporting Community fund. This will enable the Hospice to update their public areas with new furniture and decoration, in addition to upgrading the patient rooms to help save money and improve the cleanliness and general ambience.
HSBC UK will continue to support Springhill Hospice throughout the year with fundraising events, ongoing renovation projects and the provision of regular Financial Wellbeing Education events for staff, residents, families and the local communities throughout 2023 and beyond.”
Springhill would like to thank HSBC UK once again for this incredible grant, and opportunity to make the Hospice an even more comfortable environment for patients and their loved ones.
