Ball Tampering Allowed donates £10,000

Recently our CEO Sam Wells and Head of Income Generation Alex Haddock were invited to attend an event organised by fellow charity, Ball Tampering Allowed.

The charity, founded by Littleborough cricket enthusiast Paul Ferriday, supports men’s health, with a particular focus on testicular cancer care, inspired by Paul’s own experience.
Although still a relatively new charity, Paul and co-founder Simon Burrows have made a real impact through fundraising, awareness and charitable giving and at the event Springhill Hospice was presented with a donation of £10,000, which will help support borough residents in need of palliative care.

Springhill’s Sam Wells said “It was wonderful not only to be gifted such a generous donation, but also to get to meet Paul and Simon and hear the passion in their voices when they talk about supporting men’s health. Here at the Hospice we know that men are less likely to speak up about health concerns, especially something as personal as testicular health, so it’s great that the team at Ball Tampering Allowed are so dedicated to opening up the conversation and taking some of the sensitivity out of the subject whilst educating men on how to check themselves.”
