Fundraising

The Fundraising team is committed to organising around sixteen ‘in-house’ events each year to generate income for the Hospice – from the smaller event such as Quiz Nights, to spectacular shows and prestigious Luncheons.

Supporting the fundraising endeavours of the community is also a part of the teams remit, and representation at third party events is an important part of their work. We would request that any organisers of events in support of Springhill Hospice please read and, complete this document and return it to the address shown before their event takes place. Another vital aspect of the Fundraising teams efforts is raising the profile of the Hospice, through giving talks and utilising the various media now available, in order to keep the name of Springhill Hospice at the forefront of people’s minds.

The Fundraising Office is also responsible for promoting the various ways that supporters can donate to the Hospice; by leaving gifts through bequests, joining the Circle of Friendship, purchasing Hospice merchandise, taking advantage of the Gift Aid scheme for a one off donation, or by setting up a regular donation via standing order.

Springhill Hospice Shops

URGENTLY REQUIRED: Items of furniture for our Oldham Road Furniture Shop. FREE collections - contact 01706 638231.

Springhill Hospice has six charity shops selling donated goods including furniture, curtains and clothing.

In the Hospice foyer we have Tommy’s Shop for visitors, staff and patient purchases of sweets, greeting cards, gift wrap, jewellery and a selection of gifts.

Textile Banks in the Borough

These banks provide an income from recycling unwanted clothing and shoes. We receive a percentage from the bank operator who recycles the contents.

Goods for sale would be more beneficial to Springhill Hospice if taken to any of our shops listed below, or alternatively telephone 01706 638231 for collection of goods.

Any of the shops listed below are happy to receive donated items to sell, we also collect throughout the year collectable items for our Annual Auction of Bygones. We do have a collection service for donations of stock Monday through to Friday.

To arrange for collection of goods please telephone 01706 638231. Unfortunately due to RMBC tipping charges we regret we are unable to accept unsaleable items and we no longer accept electrical goods.
