The events listed below in green are events being planned by the fundraising team - as new ones are created they will be added so please keep coming back to check!
When we hear of any third party events being organised, they will also be included on this list. If, therefore, you are organising an event in aid of the hospice and wish to publicise it here, please send the necessary details either in writing to the above address or by email.
We would request that any organisers of events in support of Springhill Hospice please read and complete this document then return it to the address shown before your event takes place. Thank you.
Saturday 24th March - A Golden Evening with Dame Mary Peters - at Rochdale Masonic Buildings - £35.00 per person including dinner and entertainment from Norman Prince and Martin Gold. Tickets almost sold out so please contact the fundraising department on 01706 649920 asap.
Sunday 25th March - An Afternoon Tea with Dame Mary Peters - in The Springhill Suite at the Hospice. £10.00 per person, including Afternoon Tea and a glass of fizz.
Sunday 1st April - Spring Fair - at the Hospice, 10a.m. to 3p.m. Free entry to all, over 40 stalls and attractions, a great family day out.
Thursday 12th April - Call My Bluff in the Springhill Suite at the Hospice. £10.00 per team of 4 - a great, fun night out with the legendary Norman Prince as host for the evening.
Wednesday 25th April - Woman of Rochdale Luncheon at Rochdale Town Hall. Our annual lunch for the ladies of Rochdale, to celebrate the lady who is chosen by the committee to win the prestigious title of Woman of Rochdale. Tickets are £37.00 each, including a four course dinner and entertainment by the Chester Town Crier.
Friday 18th May - Springhill Hospice Annual Golf Day at Rochdale Golf Club. £200.00 for a team of 4, including a sportsmans dinner in the evening. Please contact the fundraising department on 01706 649920 to reserve your team early.
Saturday 26th May - Woofs and Wellies - a nice leisurely walk with our canine friends, setting off from Springhill Hospice, just £5.00 per person with refreshments served upon your return. Contact the fundraising department on 01706 649920 to reserve your spot woof woof...
Sunday 27th May - IJS Promotions present A Royal Celebration with the Whitworth, Vale and Healey Prize Brass Band and the Saddleworth Male Voice Choir, in aid of Springhill Hospice, to be held at The Riverside Suite, Whitworth, starting at 7.30p.m. Tickets are £10.00 each, available from Sandifords - 78 Drake St, Rochdale, 01706 646563, or by e-mailing concerts@sandifords.com. A jolly patriotic evening that promises to have everybody tapping their feet along to the music before they even notice!
Sunday 8th July - Summer Gala Day - at the Hospice, 10a.m. to 3p.m. Free entry to all, over 40 stalls and attractions, a super family day out.
Saturday 14th July - Midnight Walk - our annual Midnight Walk with a twist - for one year only...gentlemen are being allowed to enter! Registration is now open, and for those who register before the end of February, the entry fee will be reduced to £7.50 instead of £10.00. The circular walk starts and ends at Middleton Arena, and takes in Heywood, Castleton and Slattocks - 13 miles approx in total, or a half walk to Heywood Civic can be done if preferred. Walkers receive a t-shirt, and a medal if they finish the walk...not to mention a much needed bacon butty and a hot drink. Contact the fundraising department on 01706 649920 to reserve your place. But remember, to take advantage of the 25% reduction you must enter and pay by the end of February!
Saturday 16th September - Golden Ticket Ball - details tbc but put the date in your diary as this will be an evening to remember!
Friday 30th November - Man of Rochdale - at Rochdale Town Hall. Our annual lunch for the men of Rochdale, to celebrate the man who is chosen by the committee to win the prestigious title of Man of Rochdale. Tickets are £38.00 each, including a five course dinner and entertainment. Tickets available from the fundraising department on 01706 649920.
Sunday 2nd December - Christmas Fair - at the Hospice, 10a.m. to 3p.m. Over 40 stalls and attractions, including some changes for 2012, a fantastic festive day out for all the family!
Thursday 6th December - Lights of Love Service with Carols - at Rochdale Parish Church. Free entry for all, and a lovely evening including the switch on of the Parish Christmas Tree. Details available from the fundraising department on 01706 649920.
Sunday 9th December - Santa Fun Run - around Hollingworth Lake. £10.00 per person, to enter, including your Santa Suit, or £5.00 if you've already got one. Open to all ages and abilities, a fab festive Sunday morning with a goody bag when you get back and a medal!! Also, there will be a prize for the runner who receives the most sponsorship, and a prize for the best dressed Santa. Contact the fundraising department for further details on 01706 649920.
