When we hear of any third party events being organised, they will also be included on this list. If, therefore, you are organising an event in aid of the hospice and wish to publicise it here, please send the necessary details either in writing to the above address or by email.
Sat 4th July - Marks & Spencer Coffee Morning to celebrate 125 years of M & S in the Springhill Suite at Springhill Hospice. 10:00am -12:30pm. Further details and tickets available from M & S, Yorkshire Street, Hospice Reception and Hospice shops.
Sun 5th July- Car Boot Sale at Evans Easyspace Ltd (formerly the Generation Centre) , Dane Street, Rochdale. For further details contact Justine Robakowski on 01706 751200.
Thurs 9th July - Swishing for Springhill at Rochdale Town Hall. Swishing is the latest fashion sensation - bring up to three garments and two accessories and exchange for tokens and shop with your tokens! Tickets £10 available from Alison Cordwell on 01706 627888.
Sat 11th July - Charity Night at Rochdale Cricket Club, further details available from Michelle Collins on 07875 943422.
Sat 17th July - Shamrocks Tug-O-War Charity Night commencing at 7:30 at Spotland Reform Club and featuring female vocalist Sue Hassett and DJ Mark's Disco Karaoke. Tickets £3.00 available from Mick Downes on 07824 844128.
Sat 18th July- Springhill Hospice Midnight Walk - our ladies-only sponsored walk commencing from Middleton Arena on the stroke of midnight. Walkers can choose to do the full 13 miles or just 6 miles. Double-sided registration forms available by clicking here and here.
Sun 9th Aug - Summer Charity Garden Party at Gelderwood Country Park, Ashworth Road, 2:00pm - 5:00pm. Tickets £10.00, available from 01706 364858, include afternoon tea and entertainment. Raising funds for Congenital Myasthenia and Springhill Hospice.
Thus 27th Aug - 2010 Hospice Calendar Launch in the Springhill Suite, Springhill Hospice at 7:00pm.
Fri 25th Sep - Annual Golf Day at Rochdale Golf Club. Open to teams of four, £275 entry fee includes Presentation Evening Dinner. More details to follow.
Thurs 1st Oct - Peter Shaw Charity Golf Day at Manchester Golf Road, further details available from Jennifer Shaw Events.
Fri 9th Oct - Fire and Ice Walk at the Soccer Village, Wildhouse Lane, Milnrow, Rochdale. The world's shortest sponsored walk - walk on hot coals and/ or broken glass! £20 registration and £100 minimum sponsorship. Registration form available to download here
Sat 10th Oct - Auction of Bygones and Collectables in the Springhill Suite, Springhill Hospice. Prior viewing from 10:00am, auction commences at 2:00pm. Donations welcome - please contact 01706 638231.
Sat 17th Oct - Grand 20th Anniversary Masquerade Ball at the Town Hall. Close our 20th Anniversary celebrations in style! Champagne Reception, five-course dinner, dancing to Cole Page and his band. Special live performance from Maxine Barrie (series one winner of 'Stars in their Eyes') as Shirley Bassey. Tickets £50 per person.
Sun 22nd Nov - Christmas Fair at the Hospice. FREE ENTRY and FREE Park & Ride from Springhill High School. Fair open 10:00am to 3:00pm.
Fri 27th Nov - Men of Rochdale Luncheon at Rochdale Town Hall. Commencing with a Beer Reception at 1:00pm. Tickets £35 per person.
Sat 5th Dec - The Very Best of Brass and Comedy featuring Brighouse & Rastrick Band with Norman Prince. At the Gracie Fields Theatre commencing at 7:30pm. Tickets, priced at £15 and £12.50 (conc), available from Sandifords Gallery, Drake Street, Rochdale (01706 646563 - card facilities available) and Springhill Hospice Fundraising Office (01706 649920 - card facilities available). Tickets available late October.
Sun 6th Dec - Father Christmas Fun Run around Hollingworth Lake commencing at 11:00am. Registration Fee of £10 includes Santa suit (£5 if you already have one!).
Fri 11th Dec - Lights of Love Services at the Hospice at 2:00pm and 6:00pm. Please contact Fundraising to reserve your seat or make a dedication to display on the trees.
Thus 24th Dec - Carol Singing around the tree in Wardle village centre with Wardle School Band. Everybody most welcome. Commences at 6.30pm.
Sat 16th - Sun 24th Oct 2010 - Great Wall Of China Trek. A 5-day trek along the Great Wall arranged in conjunction with Classic Tours. Contact 0785 143 0076 or email chinatrek2010@googlemail.com for further details and a registration pack.
